Welcome to Seventh Street – 09.06.15

Vinatge_7thStreet_LogoWelcome to Seventh Street! I pray that you and your family have had a wonderful weekend. Because of the holiday, our evening services are dismissed. However, we do encourage you to spend time with your family.

Today is the first Sunday of the new church year, and we as a church are blessed to have many people serving in new positions. Let’s pray God would prepare each worker with a heartbeat to seek God’s will in all things!

This morning, we continue our sermon series on The Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12). Today we ponder the sixth beatitude, “Blessed are the Pure in heart.”

This is our first full Sunday to have Bro. Parker Allen worship with us. He will be coming forward during the invitation this morning to unite with the fellowship of our church family.  Afterwards, please come by and introduce yourself and encourage our new children’s/youth director

Our Senior Adult Ministry will be hosting a XYZ Fellowship this Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the Small Dining room. Also, this Saturday the Men’s ministry will have their monthly breakfast fellowship. Please come and bring your appetite as we fellowship together!

Finally, our scrapbooking ministry led by Dean Quick will be hosting the monthly fellowship on Friday the 18th beginning at 3 P.M.  Ladies, come and be a part of this special time of fun and creativity!

Next Sunday night our guest speaker will be Bryan Morris, pastor of Morris Memorial Baptist in Moscow, TN.  I have known Bryan now for 21 years, and I consider him to be my best friend. He and his family will be traveling through Cullman on the way to the ocean for a vacation. I invited him to preach God’s Word to our people. I pray you receive a blessing!

If you are our guest, we extend to you a warm Seventh Street welcome!  Please take time out and fill out a guest card so that we can rejoice in your attendance!

Have a Jesus Filled week!

We continue our new sermon series on The Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12). Today we ponder, “Blessed are the merciful.”

This morning, we will be voting on the deacon positions for the new church year.  Please prayerfully consider this important ministry of the church.

In recent weeks we have been blessed with four new members; David and Paulette Stark, Rachael Martin, and Ann Heck.  Specifically tonight, we will stir the waters of baptism. New member Rachael Martin recently gave her heart to Christ. It is always exciting to see a new believer make their profession of faith public with baptism!

This coming Wednesday night we will continue our study on the book of Genesis.  We will be covering the second part of Chapter eight along with the first part of chapter nine.  Come and join us for this exciting study!

There are no services next Sunday evening September 6th in lieu of the Labor Day weekend. Please use this time to enjoy with your family.

Let me take just a moment and share a word with you about our guest speaker Sunday evening September 13th.  His name is Bryan Morris, and he is the pastor of Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Moscow, TN.  I have known Bryan now for over twenty years, and is one of my closest friends.  He and his family will be traveling through our area on the way to the ocean for a family vacation. I extended to him the invitation to preach God’s Word to our people. I pray you receive a blessing!
