We continue our new sermon series on The Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12). This morning, we will ponder the third beatitude, “Blessed are the meek.” Let us all remember together that meekness does not equal weakness!
I want to thank our deacon body as they served their deacon families the Lord’s Supper last Sunday evening. I felt that the service was very worshipful and meaningful.
It’s that time of year again for the church family to prayerfully consider deacon nominations. This morning, you will find an insert located in the bulletin.
I want to thank the Children’s and Youth Minister Search Committee for all of their recent hard work and labor. This morning we will be voting to extend a call to Bro. Parker Allen as our Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries. Because the search committee made their presentation this past Wednesday night followed by a time of discussion, our vote this morning will be by ballot with no discussion.
It is hard to imagine that we are about to start a new church year! Where does the time go? I have always seen a new church year as a time of new beginnings within the church family and fellowship. I pray this year will be a year that we clearly see the fingerprints of God upon our church family.
Remember; if there is any specific way that I can minister to you and your family, please do not hesitate to contact me and let me know. I pray everyone has a wonderful week!
